Cheap Taping It Together?

Cheap tape is useless. If you’ve tried saving a few pennies or bought cheap tape for convenience’s sake, then you know how frustrating it is to rip off a series of non-sticking pieces. Other products, like Post-It Notes, stay useful when the back loses its stickiness. You can still write a short message on the paper, but useless tape is simply a waste of precious time and money. So is this:

Sorry, you won’t get those minutes back. The video proves my point. Don’t try to make tape into something that it’s not. Don’t twist it into cute little gadgets or find elaborate methods for obvious or unnecessary labeling. Tape is tape. Use it for what is, understand its limitations and move on. You can’t make everything that’s useless into something useful. What’s the useless, time-waster preventing you from improving the important pieces of life?

What’s Meant to Be?

With Christmas gone, most of us don’t expect any more surprises until Valentine’s Day, but my family may get early surprises if they find what I’ve hidden. Before I say what they are, keep these facts in mind. First, I hate to waste things, and secondly, I appreciate aromatherapy. So, while poking around the cabinets during the holiday vacation, I discovered a box of expired teabags. Instead of throwing them out, I decided to use them as mini sachets. I’m waiting for the complaints, frowns, and eye-rolls when they uncover teabags hidden in nooks and crannies around the house. Not everyone appreciates creativity. See if you appreciate this:

That’s not all. Apparently, tea bags can eliminate household pests and soothe insect bites. The list of surprising uses is long. And you thought I was saving useless trash by saving tea bags. What life experience did you think was a waste, but time proved otherwise?
